Signature Orthopedics has partnered with SSM Health St. Clare Hospital and the Arthritis Foundation to offer a free community education event on joint replacement procedures. The event, titled “Joint Venture: Exploring Knee and Shoulder Replacements with Dr. Christopher Palmer and Dr. Vince Lai,” will be held July 16, 2019 onsite at the hospital.
Two local physicians from Signature Orthopedics will present on the ins and outs of joint replacements, what patients can expect during these surgeries, and what recovery from such procedures entails. These presentations will have a specific focus on shoulders and knees, and there will also be time for an audience Q&A. Light refreshments will be provided free of charge, and self-parking will be available.
Dr. Christopher Palmer is a board-eligible orthopedic surgeon. He treats a variety of orthopedic issues, specializing in minimally invasive treatments, total joint and partial joint replacement, joint arthroscopy, sports medicine, foot and ankle injuries, and orthopedic trauma. In his spare time, Dr. Palmer enjoys CrossFit training, hiking, snowboarding, and traveling.
Dr. Vince Lai is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician who treats all orthopedic issues, including sports injuries, minimally invasive treatments, total joint replacement, joint arthroscopy and orthopedic trauma. Dr. Lai is a St. Louis native, and completed his undergraduate degree at Washington University. Dr. Lai believes in customizing care for his patients and likes to work closely with each patient to find the right treatment plan.
